Special Olympics of Indiana
With sports at the core, Special Olympics is a leader in the field of intellectual disability and the world’s largest movement dedicated to promoting respect, acceptance, inclusion and human dignity for people with intellectual disabilities.
Their mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
How Theta Zeta is involved:
- Volunteer for Indiana State Bowling Tournament
- The Polar Plunge
- Spread the Word to End the Word
- Hula Hoop for Hope

Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity-based youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. The program teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons, and running games. It culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event.
The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.

How Theta Zeta is involved:
- Annual auction to benefit GOTR
- Participation in GOTR 5k
- Running buddies
- Cheer section
- Face-painting
- Hair-coloring
- Mitten-making
- Other pre-run activities

Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation
Previously known as the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation, R.I.S.E. is our philanthropy committed to assisting members to reach their leadership goals and dreams. The Foundation is nonprofit organization which provides scholarships and leadership opportunities for members of Alpha Sigma Alpha.
Guided by the following mission, vision, and values, Theta Zeta helps fund many national events such as The Academy, the Emma Coleman Frost Leadership Development Institute, and the bi-yearly National Convention & Leadership Conference.
